International singer and very versatile act, Carmolina delves into Afrobeats with her new release titled “Wasn’t Me“.
The classically trained musician has roots in other genres such as salsa & pop and has spent valuable time in the United States, Europe and the Carribeans, which has contributed to her profile and music knowledge.
On ” Wasn’t Me“, she channels her inner Shaggy, sampling the famous “Wasn’t Me” call and response on the American artist’s hit song of the same title.
On an afrobeats sound, Carmolina sings about catching a partner cheating and them denying it all at once while also adding some pidgin english into the lyrics for the culture.
