Tyres Gibson has written an open letter to his estranged wife Samantha Lee Gibson after they announced they are getting a divorce.

The couple who have been married for 4 years and blessed with a daughter announced hours ago that they have decided to separate and divorce.

They both released the same statement at the same time via their respective Instagram accounts.

After making the announcement, Tyrese took to Instagram to release a video of his beautiful moments with Samantha Lee and their daughter.

In the caption, he said it’s  hard to be something you never experienced so it’s hard for most people from broken homes without fathers to be something they were never raised by.

He added that black families and marriages are under attack.

He wrote:

Black families and marriages are under attack.

Pain got me back in the holy grail… [ the studio ] No there’s no album coming this was inspired by the love of my life Samantha…. Thank you for the years I hope you know that I did the very best I could… I truly did… #BetterDays

I’ve wrestled with this question… How can we naturally know how to BE something we were never raised by?
Most of us were raised in broken homes with NO examples of what being a husband, wife or FATHER is….
I repeat…. How can we naturally know how to BE something we were never raised by?
My heart is so full because you’ve blessed me with 5 years of magic…. Samantha Gibson, I owe you everything.
