[News] Ethan Crumbley’s mother wrote pro-gun letter to Trump praising his support for guns

More details are emerging about Ethan Crumbley, the 15-year-old charged with shooting and killing four students and wounding seven at a Michigan high school on Tuesday November 30.

Ethan Crumbley, who has been charged with 24 different counts as an adult, came from a family that was supportive of possessing guns.

Ethan’s mother, Jennifer Crumbley, 43, wrote an open letter to then president-elect Donald Trump on her blog in Nov. 2016 to praise Trump for supporting guns.

She wrote: “As a female and a Realtor, thank you for allowing my right to bear arms. Allowing me to be protected if I show a home to someone with bad intentions. Thank you for respecting that Amendment.”

The semi-automatic handgun Ethan Crumbley used to kill four students and wound many more was legally purchased by his father, James Crumbley, on Black Friday.

The morning of the day Ethan went on a shooting spree, his parents were invited for a face to face meeting with school authorities who had concerns about Ethan’s behavior in the classroom.

Hours after his parents left school, he opened fire.

Karen D. McDonald, the Oakland County prosecutor said she is also considering charges against the suspect’s parents.

Officials said on Wednesday, Dec. 1, that the shooting appeared to have been planned in advance, rather than a spontaneous act of violence.

“Now I become death — destroyer of worlds — see you tomorrow Oxford,” Ethan wrote on Monday, a day before the shooting.
