Everton Football club of England have reportedly lined up Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard on a list of coaches expected to replace Rafa Benitez who was sacked from his role as the club’s coach on Sunday, January 16.
Benitez, before his sack, had been in the second half of the premier league table and was disliked by fans due to his former work experience with arch rivals, Liverpool.
Rooney, who currently coaches Derby County made his Premier League debut with Everton and returned at the twilight of his playing career to the club
He is a fan favorite and his appointment will be greeted with applause from the fans.
Lampard is without a job at the moment and is also being considered after he was sacked last year by Chelsea.
According to Skysports, Everton have also put up Duncan Ferguson (on an interim basis), Roberto Martinez who managed the club between 2013-2016, Rudi Garcia and Brighton and Hove Albion coach, Graham Potter who’s having a great season sitting 9th on the league table, on the list.
