Former Chairman of the Nigerian Human Rights Commission, Chidi Odinkalu has said that he doesn’t feel any sympathy for suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, who is now being grilled by the Department of State Services over his time in office.
Odinkalu who sat for an interview on Channels Television, claimed that what transpired while Emefiele was in office was criminal.
The Professor of International Human Rights Law said;
“I have no sympathy for Godwin Emefiele. I already made my opinion of him as CBN governor public. I honestly believe that what transpired when he was the CBN governor was criminal.
“Whatever fate befalls him within the legal process, I will not shed tears for him. I am not sure if he would shed a tear for himself.”
