[News] ISWAP Fighters and their families surrender to army in Borno



One hundred and four fighters of the Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP) and their family members have surrendered to the 25 Task Force Brigade of the Nigerian army in Damboa, Borno State.

A statement released by the Nigerian Army says they surrendered on Saturday, February 5. Among those who surrendered were children and women.

Deadly assaults on the terrorists by the military have forced the family members of the fighters out of their hiding.
