The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Alabi has warned of the spike in Covid-19 cases and deaths.
He shared an infographic as he pointed out that the number of Covid-19 related deaths in Lagos increased from 6 in Nov 2020 to 22 deaths just days into January 2021.
Diagnosed cases of Covid-19 also tripled, going from 2,172 in Nov to 7,420 in Jan.
The commissioner wrote:
From 6 to 22 #COVID19 related deaths between November and December, 2020 and 2,172 to 7,420 positive cases within the same period; It is clear, #COVID19 is raging like wild fire out there!
