The Special Assistant to Cross River State Governor on Strategic Communication, Andrea Ekeng Inyang has debunked the popular historical ‘fact’ that Scottish Presbyterian missionary, Mary Slessor stopped the killing of twins in Calabar.

“It is completely false that it was Mary Slessor that first emancipated for the killings of Twins in Calabar, Nigeria. This history is celebrated in ignorance and it speaks volume of the effect of colonialism.” he wrote on Tuesday.
