[News] Katie Price’s fiancé, Carl Woods denies assaulting her after a ‘man was arrested for assaulting her’

32-year-old car dealer, Carl Woods has for the first time spoken up after a man was ‘arrested on suspicion of assaulting’ his fiancee, Katie Price.

 

43-year-old Katie Price was rushed to hospital last month after sustaining facial injuries in an alleged assault. Police were called in over the incident which occurred at a property in Essex, with the cops then calling for paramedics.

 

It was reported at that time that a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour, and was then bailed on September 20.

 

 

Essex Police said in a statement at the time;

 

“We were called by colleagues in the ambulance service to reports of an assault in Little Canfield, shortly after 1.30am this morning, Monday 23 August.

“We arrived and found a woman had sustained a facial injury which required hospital treatment.

“A 32-year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of assault.”

 

In a post shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday afternoon, September 7, Woods denied hurting Katie and also claimed he has been the subject of “shocking abuse” online. He added that “the truth will be told”.

 

He wrote;

 

“I have remained quiet until now due to the investigation being carried out by police, however I have found it so difficult to keep quiet on social media due to the speculation and shocking abuse that I have received.

“I have never and never would do anything to hurt Katie.

“The truth will be told.”

 

 

Katie began dating former Love Island star Carl Woods in June 2020 and announced their engagement in April, just six weeks after her divorce from her third husband Kieran Hayler, 34, was finalised.

 

Despite the support of her loved ones, the glamour model still ‘doesn’t feel safe’, and has been beefing up the security in the wake of her attack. She told The Sun later that week;

 

“I’ve got a big bruise, my face is all puffy, and I went to hospital. I’m still all dazed. I’m devastated. I’ve told police that I was assaulted, and am in shock that this happened.”

 

After rising to fame in the late 1990s as a glamour model, Katie subsequently made a name for herself in the world of reality TV, first appearing as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity and later landing her own shows.

 

Katie is mum to five children, from previous relationships with footballer Dwight Yorke and her ex-husbands Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler.
