Adaeze Gift Okolie and her man, Chimezie Ettoh recently had their traditional wedding in her hometown.

PlatinumEntertainment Nigeria has explained the uniqueness of the Queen of IBILE pageant as a breath of fresh air in the history of pageantry in Nigeria and beyond.
IBILE is the acronym for the five administrative divisions of Lagos State:Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Island and Epe. The event will see contestants from across NIGERIA who are Lagosians by birth, naturalisation or by other legal means take part in a pageant and reality television show that will give them lifetime empowerment and build their capacity for excellence.
The theme for this edition is: “Embracing Our Cultural Heritage: a Way to Boost the Tourism Sector during and after Pandemic”.
In line with making Tourism and Entertainment one of the cardinal development of the project THEMES of the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the pageant is supported and officially endorsed by the Lagos State Government, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
At a discussion with Madam Olayinka Edu, the Executive Director and Founder of the Queen of IBILE Pageantry, she reiterated the ideals behind the project; “Pageantry in the conventional sense has always been about the celebration of beauty and brains. However, at Platinum Entertainment Nigeria, while we celebrate beauty and brains, we also encourage innovativeness and empower resourcefulness”.
“The winner of Queen of IBILE pageant will resume office and commence her project in Lagos/Nigeria immediately after the pageant. She will go on the IBILE tour creating awareness on certain women issues and carrying out social development projects and charity works, tackling feminine through the “Beauty to Serve initiative” by Queen of Ibile Organisation (NGO) she added.
Conforming to the motto of the pageant – “Beauty to serve“, all contestants have to take part by coming up with a community based project in relation to the annual theme. The best projects are then selected for execution.
Aside from the grand prize of N2 Million and a Car, some other contestants will have the rare opportunity to become:
- Queen of IBILE Super Model with a modelling contract for a year and trips to other places to participate in modelling jobs.
- Queen of IBILE Blogster to Blog about happenings across the 5 IBILE of Lagos State and beyond for one year and get paid.
- Queen of IBILE Communicator who automatically becomes the first TV host of “The Ibile Dove Show (TIDS), a TV show which will be aired on AskyTV by Afrosky (afrosky.com) and other stations. She also gets salary for a year.
