Nigerian singer, Maikel Kamal has claimed that a renowned label owner in the country refused to sign him after he told the man that he (Maikel) is not gay.

 

The singer who shared screenshots of chats to back the claim, said the incident occurred in 2016.

 

Maikel tweeted;

 

My name is Maikel Kamal, I remember in 2016, I was looking for a record label to sign me and this is the conversation I had with a well renowned label owner in Nigeria, I still don’t know why he asked if I’m gay, I guess my response is the reason

The deal didn’t go through but we move. I pray someone who cares about my talent and strictly business finds me.
