A woman was fired from her job after her bleached skin made customers uncomfortable.
Her employer made this known on Twitter.
She said guests didn’t feel comfortable being served by the staff whose dark knuckles made her look dirty.
Management suggested gloves but the staff refused. She also refused to be moved to another department where she wouldn’t interact with guests.
As a result, she was fired from her job today.
“I am not against bleaching your skin but just do it right,” the Twitter user who shared the story wrote, adding that her company does not discriminate against staff with medical conditions of any sort.
