[News] Nigerians react to CCT Chairman, Danlandi Umar describing those who mobbed him for assaulting a security guard as ‘Biafran Boys’

Nigerians have reacted to a statement credited to the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) chairman, Justice Danladi Umar on what transpired between him and the security guard he assaulted at Banex Plaza in Abuja.

 

In a statement released by the CCT Chairman’s spokesperson Ibraheem Al-Hassan, Umar accused the security guard of being rude and threatening him over a parking space.

 

He further alleged that he was subsequently attacked by “Biafran boys” at the plaza.

 

The statement read;

 

“As the few policemen in the complex were apparently overwhelmed by the mobs, consisting of Biafran boys throwing matches and shape object to his car, which led to deep cut and dislocation in one of his finger, causing damage to his car, smashing his windscreen.”
