A collaborative effort of Police operatives and officers of the So-Safe Corps has led to the arrest of two members of a syndicate terrorizing Oke-Ejigbo in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
A statement released by the spokesperson of Ogun State police command, SP Omolola Odutola, said the syndicate was busted and the suspects arrested on Sunday, August 20.
She disclosed that the operatives trailed them to their abode, where various household equipment, comprising a plasma television set, a generator, and handsets were recovered.
Also recovered from the suspects, identified as Kolawole Shobowale and Moruf Soyoye, were a live turkey, foodstuff, and some other sundry items, believed to have been stolen.
The PPRO further disclosed that the suspects have confessed to the crime of breaking and entering into dwelling houses and shops, adding that members of the community, particularly victims of recent house breakings in the area, have continued to throng the Oke-Itokun Divisional Police headquarters, to identify some of their items that have been stolen.
