Sophia Momidu has spoken out against a recent skin lightening advert trending on social media.

The businesswoman called out the advertisers for showing a “naturally light skinned woman” walking through a crowd of black people, including children, while they all look at her in wonder.

Sophia questioned what kind of message such advert is passing to children who are dark skinned.

She also called out people who bleach their skin.

She then extolled the beauty of the dark skin and thanked her mother for teaching her to love her skin.
