Twitter users have reacted over the photo of an Igbo man who married a foreign woman at the Ikoyi Marriage Registry.

 

This is coming a few days after one Mazi Uchenna Odu, advised his fellow Igbo men to avoid court weddings at all cost. Read here

However, Twitter user, @Abingwa1 posted a photo of an Igbo man and his bride on Saturday, August 5, hailing the man for being ‘hardworking’.

 

“Ndu nwoke esika.. Okwanu ka umuazi weelu lie nri.. Nwee ezigbote future.. Nwoke na agba mbo nobi small… Chukwu zoba anyi,” he captioned the post which loosely translates to Men that have secured a good future, and are enjoying themselves.

The post didn’t sit well with some Twitter users who accused him og ‘double standards,’ while referring to Uchenna’s post on Igbo men not getting married in court.
