Fetty Wap’s daughter died from an irregular heartbeat, a problem she suffered since her birth.
Lauren Maxwell, 4, died on June 24 at home in Atlanta, Georgia, from ‘fatal cardiac arrhythmia due to complications of congenital cardiac anomalies’, according to her birth certificate seen by TMZ.
Taking to Instagram in a video Fetty Wap said: ‘Y’all can do me a favor? Just post all butterflies. All butterflies. [She] loved butterflies. If you guys could do that, that means a lot.’
Fetty Wap, 30, real name Willie Junior Maxwell II, and the child’s mother Turquoise Mountain shared a tribute to their daughter last week with the rapper dedicating his set at Rolling Loud Festival at the end of July to her.
Turquoise Mountain appeared to confirm the news on Tuesday, posting a video of Lauren in the pool with the caption: ‘This is my amazing, beautiful, funny, vibrant, loving, talented, smart and hardheaded princess mermaid Aquarius.
‘If you see this post scrolling by with her comment or just say to yourself “i love you LAUREN” because they say that souls can feel your love.’
Following a performance at Miami’s Rolling Loud festival last month, Fetty wrote on his Instagram Story: ‘LoLo daddy did that s*** for you last night baby girl.’
The rapper has a total of six children by five different mothers. Their names are Aydin, 10, Zaviera, 6, Khari, 5, Amani, 5, and Zy, born in 2018.
Fetty is believed to be single. In September 2019, he married model Leandra K. Gonzalez in a private ceremony but they split in March 2020.
