A little boy named Gavin was distressed after he lost his tooth at school but the school’s Vice Principal saved the day.
Gavin, who is a student at Hart Highlands Elementary School, lost his tooth while getting ready to eat lunch during recess.
The boy became troubled when he couldn’t find it so he could put it under his pillow for the tooth fairy to take in exchange for money.
That’s when Vice Principal Shandee M Whitehead stepped in.
She decided to help the kid by writing a letter to Tooth Fairy.
Whitehead took to Twitter to share the fun letter with the caption: “In addition to contributing to a long-term plan for ST success, cultivating leadership in others, managing PPL, data, & processes, & improving school leadership … a VP has the duty of helping to create a positive school culture … one that saves the day!”
The letter reads: “Today, one of Gavin’s tooth fell out while he was getting ready to eat lunch.
“Unfortunately, it was lost in the classroom, and despite the heroic efforts of a fearless search team, we were unable to recover it.”
The Vice Principal explained that as a hobby dentist and trained vice-principal, she could verify that there was a new gap in Gavin’s mouth that was not there in the morning when he arrived at school.
She added in the letter to the tooth fairy, “Please accept this letter as official verification of a lost tooth and provide the standard monetary exchange rate you normally use for a real tooth.
“If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the address above.”
Twitter users were moved by the note and praised the Vice Principal.
