[News] What positive change do we have to show? – Nigerian man tackles Arewa youths clamouring for Northern president after they vowed not to vote for a Southerner

A Nigerian man, Bello Sanni Meedugu, has knocked his fellow Arewa youths clamouring for a Northern president and have vowed not to vote for a Southern president in the 2023 Presidential election.

In a series of tweets posted, Bello averred that Northerners have occupied key positions in the country and wondered what impact their positions have brought to the region. He added that he will vote for any credible candidate regardless of their tribe.

His tweets read

”While my love for Arewa is unshakable, those saying if we vote for anyone from the south we are finished.

my question then is now that we’ve had and still having all those Arewa representatives, AGF, Army officials, Red/Green chambers, and all those in key positions, what have they done to us,. what positive change do we have to show.

If a credible person from Madagascar can come and liberate us from this suffering i will vote for him. My faith and religion has nothing to do with his capability.

Vote wisely, like your future depends on it, well it actually does depend on it!”
