[News] You’re eating well this week and I’ll also be on the menu – GRV’s wife, Ify, tells him as she appreciates him for mediating after callout from ex-staff over unpaid salaries

The wife of the Labour party governorship candidate in the March 2023 election in Lagos state, Ify Rhodes-Vivour, has taken to X to appreciate her husband, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour aka GRV for mediating after her former staff called her out for failing to pay him his salary when he worked for her.

 

A user on X, Chike Jones, who worked as a writer and social media manager for Ify’s project some years back, had alleged that he was owed for over eight months. His post received mixed reactions with many calling out Ify and demanding she pay’s Chike his dues.

 

In his reaction, GRV said he’d spoken to Chike, his dues paid and the situation rectified. Chike also confirmed he had been paid the debt.

 

This morning, Ify said she sincerely apologizes for the incident and that it has been a teachable moment for her. She went on to thank her husband  and said he will be eating well this week and that she will be on the menu.
