[News] Activist celebrates Nigerian police officer who has never “collected or shared from bribes since he joined the force”

International human rights activist and chairman of World Institute for Peace, Lamina Kamiludeen Omotoyosi, on Monday, November 7, 2022, celebrated a police officer, Ahmed Akpo Zakari, who he claims has never collected bribes since he joined the Nigeria Police Force.

 

Taking to his Facebook page, Omotoyosi said;

NIGERIA POLICE OFFICER I KNOW, WHO HAS NEVER COLLECTED OR SHARE FROM BRIBE SINCE HE JOINED THE FORCE.

 

He faced many challenges while he was serving in Ondo town for not sharing from bribe, especially, during the time he was part of the officers on check points duty because he always ask his colleagues not to extort any okadar rider or motorist so, many of his colleagues saw him as threat.

It was during that time, I knew that, some officers are making daily thrift from illegality. The funniest part was, Ahmed would always pray God to open their minds to see that bribe is not good in anyway. Officer praying for officer! This sweets me.

 

Okada riders and motorists who plights Ondo town to Laje community road in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo state between 2011 and 2016 used to pray for him because, once they see him in any of the check points..they already have rest of mind that NO EGUNJE FOR ANY OFFICER

However, you can not go out of him if your okadar or vehicle is not registered. You must go and bring all the papers to show you are the owner or, the owner come with you with the documents that shows his ownership. Ore wa kan so wipe IBI TI OFFICER ZAKARI BAJE SI NIYEN, KO NI GBA KO LO TI OKADAR ABI OKO E KO BA WA REGISTERED ! And I replied, THAT IS THE BEST OF HIM.

 

Ahmed Akpo Zakari graduated from Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo. He is from Oyo State, a bariba man.

If Zakari tell you 100 words, believe me, all are true. His D.P.O while he was serving in Ondo confirmed that the first person he knows that always stand for the truth among his officers is Ahmed Zakari, that was when we went to settle a matter at Yaba Divisional Police Headquarters in Ondo in 2013.

 

Comrade Didunlorinwa and Rasaq Gbadamosi , Wahab Babatunde Saheed can testify to this. In fact, many of his colleagues called him 2 nickname COMRADE or ALFA.

I posted something of this nature about him in 2020 and this night, I remembered him, and I have to put this down again as my mind is praying for him so I want you also to help pray for this good officer. Comrade Kenny Caleb Akinwale (Keke), Dr. Saadu Taofiq Pa-tao, Mikky Oreoluwa David can say much about this good example of Nigeria Police Officer.

 

Zakari used to preach against any form of bribe. This is why we called him TABLIG OFFICER then.

Zakari Ahmed, as you continue this good manner, may God never shame you for any reason. We shall celebrate you greatly on this planet earth in due course. Continue making us proud.
