[News] Russian model barred from every pub in Britain, free to drink again after court appeal

Irina Fedotova, a Russian model who was barred from every pub, club and restaurant in Britain is free to have hang out again following an appeal she filed.

The model was barred from every pub, club and restaurant in the country for two years after pleading guilty to one count of assault by beating and two charges of assaults on emergency workers in April.

Fedotova was arraigned for biting a police officer while in handcuffs and being transported to hospital following a drunken brawl, and for kicking a van door into another officer after police were called to deal with a row at a house in South Kensington, London.

At the time of her sentencing, she was also given a two-year community order and 150 hours of unpaid work.

The 36-year-old who lives in a £2 million apartment in Belgravia, had the judgement upturned after an appeal. She also told the court she now intends to sue the Metropolitan Police over the incident.

Her initial sentence was torn up after new medical evidence came to light about treatment she was receiving. Fedotova was however, still ordered to pay fines totalling £1,000.

She said;

‘People don’t have any idea what really happened. I acted in self-defence and in hindsight, I should not have pleaded guilty.

‘Having watched the videotapes, I’ll now be suing the police for pushing me around as if I was a rag doll.

‘I want to carry on with my life and businesses now and begin a new chapter. Winning the appeal is the start of a new path I’m going to take.’

Fedotova, who now describes herself as an entrepreneur, also has two previous convictions and a caution.

The first dates back to 2016 and was over an assault on a PC and drunk and disorderly behaviour.

In 2018, she was made the subject of an indefinite restraining order after launching a four-month campaign of harassment against her former partner.

She also received a caution in 2013 for criminal damage.
